Get Fashionably Fit in Old Navy Activewear! - Summer 2013 Line Review

Friday, May 31, 2013

DISCLOSURE:  I was given a coupon for me and a friend to receive a free Old Navy Active top and bottom, as a member of the Old Navy Style Council on Crowdtap.  All opinions are my own.

I just delivered my fourth child about a week ago.  I gained about 45 pounds with this pregnancy!  What would be a better motivator to get rid of the baby weight than some cute new activewear?  Luckily, I was selected to receive a free top and bottom from Old Navy's latest Active line and I got to share this opportunity with a friend!

I chose to go with one of my sisters.  After successfully finding a podiatrist and physical therapist who were finally able to help her with the foot problems that had been plaguing her for years, she's finally been able to start running again.  She desperately needed some new active wear and was so happy when I let her know we were going to get a complete set for free from Old Navy!  She had actually participated in one of these activewear sample shares with me before, but it was in the fall.  This time, we got to choose from Old Navy's activewear line for Spring!  Here we are with our coupons before we left to go shopping:

Old Navy's line of Activewear include pieces for running, yoga as well as general workout wear.  Some items feature Old Navy's GoDRY moisture-wicking fabric.  They also have a line of compression tanks, jackets, sport bras, capris, shorts and pants.

Puj Nubs Review

DISCLOSURE:  I was sent a set of Puj Nubs from Puj to try and review.  All opinions are my own.

With a family of six, the house can quickly become a wreck.  Hooks have become a big part of keeping our home organized.  We have hooks hanging by the front door to hold hoodies and jackets -- one set for the adults and one for the kids.  We have hooks in the bathrooms, to hold potty seats, bath sponges and towels.  We have hooks in our kids' bedrooms, where they can hang book bags and other things.

But, they're all pretty plain and boring.  They're either black or white.  Nothing really special.  Now, you can buy these new flexible hooks that come in fun colors!  Introducing, Puj Nubs!  Originally designed to hold the Puj Tub, they can be used to hold a whole assortment of things to help keep your home organized.

Centrum Flavor Burst Chews Review

Thursday, May 30, 2013

DISCLOSURE:  I received free samples of Centrum Flavor Burst Chews from Smiley360 to try and review.  All opinions are my own.

I'm a picky eater.  There are some foods I just won't eat.  So, I'm sure I'm lacking some important vitamins and minerals in my diet.  Luckily, there are multivitamins available to fill in the gaps.  But, I hate taking pills and multivitamins tend to be pretty big.  There are alternatives to pills like chewables and gummies, but they don't always taste good and can be chalky.

Fortunately, Centrum has come out with a new product: Centrum Flavor Burst Chews!  It's a new chewable multivitamin that feature an essential vitamin core, great-tasting outside and chewy inside.  It's available in three great flavors:
  • Mixed Fruit
  • Tropical Fruit
  • Wild Grape
Thanks to Smiley360, I was sent a sample of the Wild Grape flavor to try.  The recommended dosage for the multivitamin is to take 4 chews daily, with or without food.  It's formulated for adults only, so keep out of reach of children.  With the fun flavors, they make mistake it for candy.

The chews are pretty small, maybe about 1/2 an inch in diameter.  They have a hard, crunchy coating and soft, chewy interior.  They taste really good!  I could definitely see myself not forgetting to take these daily because it's almost like a treat to eat them!  They're sweet and easy to take.

Would you recommend it? Yes!  Centrum Flavor Burst Chews are a great way to take your daily multivitamin.  They taste great and come in a variety of flavors, sure to please everyone's tastes.

How much does it cost?  Centrum Flavor Burst Chews are available in 60-count and 120-count bottles.  Prices start around $9 for the 60-count and $12.50 for the 120-count.  Right now, there's an offer on the Centrum website to receive a free sample and a $2.00 off coupon.

Where can I buy it?  You can find it at all major drug stores, mass merchandisers, grocery stores and online retailers.

Ivanka Trump Eau de Parfum Spray Review

Tuesday, May 21, 2013

DISCLOSURE:  I received a free bottle of Ivanka Trump Eau de Parfum Spray from People StyleWatch Style Hunters to try and review.  All opinions are my own.

I love wearing fragrance.  I usually don't feel my outfit is complete, without spraying some sort of fragrance on.  It could be a nice perfume or even just a spritz from a body spray.  I like to leave the house wearing some sort of scent.

Thanks to People StyleWatch Style Hunters, I was able to try out Ivanka Trump's debut in the fragrance market.  It's described as a "floral oriental scent that begins with a blend of sparkling Italian bergamot, lush apple, and pink peppercorn. The heart opens with a lush bouquet of jasmine, rose and peach blossom. Golden amber, creamy vanilla, patchouli and smooth cedarwood deliver a lasting impression."

Here is a behind-the-scenes look at her first fragrance photo shoot:

The fragrance is a little stronger than what I normally wear.  For me, it wouldn't be something that I would wear everyday.  The perfume starts out really strong, but does fade as the day goes on.

Ivanka Trump Fragrance is available in a 1.7 oz bottle, 3.4 oz bottle, a 6 oz. body lotion and in a gift set that includes a 3.4 fl. oz. Eau de Parfum, 3.4 fl. oz. Body Lotion, and .2 fl. oz. Purse Spray.

Would you recommend it?  Maybe?  It depends on what kind of fragrances you like.  I found it to be a little strong for me.

How much does it cost?  The 1.7 oz spray retails for about $62.00.  The 3.4 oz bottle is $78.00.  The 6 oz. body lotion is $35.  The gift set is $80.

Where can I buy it?  You can buy it from department stores and fine fragrance retailers.

Upgrade Your Beach Style With Old Navy - Summer 2013 Line Review

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

DISCLOSURE:  I was given coupons for me and three friends to receive one free swimsuit, one pair of flip flops, a bag and a beach towel from Old Navy and Crowdtap.  All opinions are my own.

The summer season is quickly approaching!  It's time to start thinking about what swimwear you're going to be rocking at the pool and the beach this summer.  Old Navy's here to help you look your best and upgrade your style!

I was recently given the opportunity to check out Old Navy's latest beachwear offerings and got the chance to bring along three friends.  Sadly, the timing was a little off.  I'm scheduled to have my fourth child on May 23rd, but the coupons we were given to redeem expire May 21st.  I didn't want to get a maternity swimsuit, since I wasn't going to be pregnant for much longer.  But, I couldn't really try on a regular suit either since my belly is so big!  I planned on trying on maternity suits for pictures, but using my coupon on a regular suit to use after baby came.  One of my sisters is also pregnant, but she isn't due until August.  With the fact that not all Old Navy locations carry maternity clothes, that limited the locations that we could go to.

Initially, I invited my two sisters and my Mom to come along shopping with me at the location nearest to where I live.  It was close to my Mom and my sisters were all familiar with it, since we grew up around here.  Plus, the location (Store 06035) carried maternity.  They were all super excited to be getting some new things from Old Navy!

The Cottonelle Care Routine - Review

Monday, May 6, 2013

DISCLOSURE:  As a member of the Cottonelle Clean Crew on Crowdtap, I received free toilet paper and flushable wipes to use and share.  All opinions are my own.

Bathroom habits have often been topics that people tend to avoid talking about.  Cottonelle is out to change that with their "Cottonelle Care Routine."  They're out to prove that nothing can be properly cleaned without the combination of cloth and water.

They've come out with a series of videos that asks you to "Test Your Cleaning Logic."  A favorite video of mine shows clients at a salon getting their hair washed without water:

It's so true!  If you wouldn't wash your hair without water, then why would you clean your behind without water?  If you haven't seen any of these ads before, I urge you to watch them at the link above!  They're so funny!

COVERGIRL Outlast Double LipShine Review

Wednesday, May 1, 2013

DISCLOSURE:  I received a free product from SheSpeaks.com to try and review.  All opinions are my own.

I love makeup and getting the chance to try different ones!  Recently, I was sent a box of some of the top-rated P&G products out there.  One of the items in my box was the COVERGIRL Outlast Double LipShine lipgloss.  I've never used it before or really noticed in the stores, so I was pretty excited to give it a try!

The lipgloss is dual-sided.  One side features a sheer, shimmery color and the other side features a clear, liquid gloss.  It comes in 20 shades.  The color is supposed to last up to 10 hours and is resilient to food oils and water.

The first thing I noticed was the lipgloss didn't have much outside packaging.  It was just wrapped it in clear plastic.  But, boy, was that hard to remove!  I was sitting there, struggling with my scissors, trying to get it opened.
