Seventh Generation Healthy Baby Home Party + Giveaway #FightToxins #HealthyBaby

DISCLOSURE:  I received free products in order to host the Healthy Baby Home Party sponsored by Seventh Generation.  The opinions expressed here are my own.  No further compensation was received.

It's Earth Day and what better time to talk about being good to the planet!  Seventh Generation has partnered with Healthy Child Healthy World to give parents a way to educate friends and family on how to create a healthy environment for our children. During the month of April, 5000 families will be holding Healthy Baby Home Parties across the country.  In addition to learning how to have a healthy home, guests are asked to join Seventh Generation in signing a petition to ask Congress to change the way chemicals are regulated in the U.S.

Did you know?
The Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) was passed in 1976 and has never been updated. Some people might assume that the chemicals used to make products sold in the U.S., like toys and food containers, are regulated and tested for safety — but they are not. Over 80,000 chemicals are currently available for use in the market. The Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) grandfathered in 62,000 chemicals when enacted in 1976 and over 20,000 have since been added. The EPA has required very few of these to be tested for their impacts on human health and the environment. Now is the time to update the regulation on these chemicals.

Meet The Happy's #TheHappys

Monday, April 14, 2014

DISCLOSURE:  I received free products in order to host the Cepia, LLC sponsored MommyParty.  The opinions expressed here are my own.

Do you remember Zhu Zhu Pets?  They were pretty popular a few years ago.  They were little robotic hamsters that rolled around and could maneuver around objects and walls.  You could buy habitats for them and build a little Zhu Zhu Pet world!  My kids used to love playing with them and owned a bunch of them!

Cepia, the makers of Zhu Zhu Pets, have recently introduced a new line of interactive toys -- The Happy's.  Similar to the Zhu Zhu Pets, the Happy's are a set of motorized plush puppies and kittens.  They can follow you around, chase a ball, dance, and perform tricks!

A Bridal Tea Party For My Sister

Friday, April 11, 2014

DISCLOSURE:  None! I threw this party for my sister because I love her! =)

My sister is getting married in about a month!  She's the last one in our family to get married.  Everyone's super excited!  My other sister (we'll call her "the married sister") and I were tasked with throwing her a bridal shower.

Because my sister's wedding is going to have a vintage/romantic theme, "married sister" and I thought it would be fun to throw her a bridal tea party!  We envisioned tea pots and tea cups, scones, dresses and big hats!  We only had about a month to plan and since we both have kids, it was a crazy, stressful month.  But, we pulled it off and my sister loved it!

Viva Vantage Paper Towels Review #TeamVivaVantage #Breakup4Better

Saturday, April 5, 2014

DISCLOSURE:  I received free products from Crowdtap to facilitate this review.  My opinions are my own.

Our family has mainly been Bounty paper towel users.  I like how strong and absorbent they are.  One sheet can handle a big mess and I like how they offer a Select-A-Size option.  It's nice that I can use a smaller sheet for smaller tasks and not feel like I'm wasting the paper towel.

I've used Viva paper towels in the past.  I like how soft and cloth-like they are.  They also work well when smoothing buttercream frosting on cakes!  I recently had the opportunity to try the new Viva Vantage paper towels.

Viva Vantage paper towels are made with a revolutionary V-Flex Weave.  This gives the paper towel remarkable stretch, scrubbing power and absorbency.
