DISCLOSURE: I received a free sample from Crowdtap to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

I don't buy blush very often. It's hard enough finding one that's the right shade for me. Once I find one that I like, I tend to stick with it and always buy the same thing.

Thanks to Crowdtap, I had the chance to try a new blush: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blush. I've never used any blushes by Neutrogena before, so I was interested to see how it would look on me.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blush is enriched with Vitamin C and botanical conditioners and is designed to blend evenly to instantly enhance skin's healthy glow. The blush uses powder technology that incorporates advanced gel systems for easy application and soft feel. It comes in five shades and can be used alone or blended together:
  • Rosy - Soft Pink Blush
  • Vibrant - Pink Blush
  • Flushed - Pinkish-Red Blush
  • Bronzed - Bronzer
  • Luminous - Illuminating Powder

It's enriched with Vitamin C and botanical conditioners. Its powder technology incorporates advanced gel systems for easy application and soft feel.

MommyCon DC 2015 Recap - 8/22 #MommyConDC

DISCLOSURE: I received free admission to MommyCon in exchange for posting this review. All opinions are my own.

Ever since my youngest was born, I had been wanting to go to one of the baby events that I had been hearing about online. I thought they would be a great way to find out about and try new things for me and baby. But, something always came up. Either, I was scheduled to work or there was something else going on at the same time that I had to do.  So, I was super excited when I found out I was going to get a chance to attend MommyCon!

What is MommyCon? It's a natural parenting convention that features seminars and workshops on topics like breastfeeding, cloth diapering and car seat safety. There are events held in several major cities around the country. I had the chance to attend the one in DC. It was held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Northwest Washington, this past weekend.

Snuggle Bear Visits Disney World! #SnuggleSummer

Monday, August 24, 2015

DISCLOSURE: I received a free Snuggle Bear to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

Last week, my family and I visited Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, and our friend Snuggle Bear came along! It's about a 12.5 hour drive from our house if we drove straight through. In the past, we've split up the drive, stopping in South Carolina or Georgia for the night. This time, we thought we would leave in the middle of the night to maximize the amount of time the kids would be sleeping during the drive. My 2-year-old hates being in her car seat and she screams during trips to the grocery store. We couldn't imagine having to listen to her cry the whole entire drive down to Florida!

Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil Review

DISCLOSURE: I received a free sample from Crowdtap to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

When I wash my face, I normally use a gel or foaming cleanser in the morning and a facial wipe at night. I've never used a cleansing oil before. I didn't really understand how it would work. Why would I be using an oil to wash my face when a lot of times, my face is already oily?!

I was recently sent a bottle of Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil to try. I was a little skeptical, but wanted to give it a go.

Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil is a lightweight cleanser made from a blend of natural oils. Because most makeup, dirt and sunscreens are oil-based, the cleansing oil works like a magnet to pull these impurities from the face. It rinses completely clean and leaves skin feeling clean, soft and moisturized.

Disney Frozen Fever Hairstyles: Inspired by Anna and Elsa - REVIEW

Saturday, August 22, 2015

DISCLOSURE: I received a free copy of Disney Frozen Fever Hairstyles to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

My youngest daughter loves dressing up like a princess. She likes to put on her princess dresses and she uses her older sister's headbands as crowns. Thankfully, she hasn't asked me to do her hair like a princess because I have enough problems trying to get my own hair to do what I want it to do. I wasn't sure how well I could copy the hairstyles of her favorite princesses!

Then this book showed up for me to review! The Disney Frozen Fever Hairstyles book features 28 hairdos inspired by Anna and Elsa from the movie short, Frozen Fever. It includes step-by-step instructions and photos to make it easy to style your hair like Anna and Elsa!

The book is divided into four sections:
  • Braidschool - this section includes detailed directions and illustrations on how to create traditional, French, Dutch, rope and fishtail braids
  • Twists and Braids - this section includes variations of Elsa's over-the-shoulder braid
  • Updos and Buns - this section includes looks inspired by Anna's braided updo
  • Waves and Ponytails - this section includes partial updos and ponytails

Skeeter Nut Free Snacks Review

Wednesday, August 12, 2015

DISCLOSURE: I received free samples of Skeeter Nut Free Snacks from Moms Meet to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

Between myself and my kids, we have a lot of allergies in our family. The most serious being the peanut allergy my oldest daughter and I have. For me, it's so bad that if I even smell peanuts, I start feeling sick. We usually carry Benadryl and Epi-pens with us.

With our allergies being so bad, we have to be careful about what we eat. We're big label readers and for the most part, we tend to stay away from baked goods and packaged snacks. Even if an item doesn't actually contain peanuts or tree nuts, you can't be entirely sure if there was any cross-contamination. It seems almost all the packages have the warnings on the side: "May contain trace amounts of x" or "Made on shared equipment with x."

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center - Chantilly, VA - Review

DISCLOSURE: I was not provided any compensation for posting this review.

An item on our bucket list this summer was to visit the museums in and around the DC area. It's been awhile since we've visited some and others, we've never had the chance to visit. One place we finally got to cross off our bucket list was the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum - Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA. It's the companion facility to the Air & Space Museum in Washington, D.C.

We woke the kids up early, but didn't tell them where we were going. They really had no idea where we were headed. This trip came on the heels of a surprise trip out to Luray Caverns. So, I'm sure the kids were expecting another fun adventure. My husband gave them little clues along the way, but they weren't able to figure it out. My ten-year-old daughter was somewhat disappointed when she finally found out where we were going.
