Truvia Natural Sweetener Product Review

Thursday, March 22, 2012

DISCLOSURE:  I received a 7-count pack of Truvia sweetener as part of the Love VoxBox from Influenster.com to review and share.  All opinions are my own.

I am a pretty loyal user of Splenda.  It's the only sweetener I'll use in my coffee.  If I have to, I'll use real sugar or Sugar In The Raw, but my preferred sweetener is Splenda.  So I was pretty skeptical to try Truvia.  I'm not a fan of other sweeteners, like Sweet 'N Low or Equal, because of the after-taste it leaves in my mouth.  They also taste more artificial to me than Splenda does.

Truvia is a natural sweetener made from the best tasting part of the Stevia plant.  It contains zero calories.  Unlike other stevia-based sweeteners that may use a mixture of different parts of the Stevia plant, Truvia only uses stevia leaf extract.

Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza Review

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

DISCLOSURE:  I received coupons for two free boxes of Ristorante Pizza from Bzzagent.com to review and share.  All opinions are my own.

I have very picky kids when it comes to food.  They only eat certain things and it has to be cooked a certain way.  Pizza is no exception.  They only eat pizza with Italian sausage.  They're not fans of pepperoni.  They'll eat a cheese pizza but prefer sausage.  No veggies.  No other meats.

One day last week, I had no idea what to make for dinner.  I did have these two boxes of Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza that I had picked up at the grocery store, thanks to BzzAgent.  I hadn't yet had a chance to try them and figured now would be the perfect time to try one.  Problem was though these did not look your typical delivery chain pizza.  These were thin crust and with different toppings.  None of which were sausage!

I showed the boxes to my kids.  I said we had cheese (the Pizza Quattro Formaggi) and we had ham with pepperoni (the Pizza Speciale).  They looked at the pictures and said they would eat the ham and pepperoni.  Surprised, I went ahead and made it.

Love VoxBox Overview from Influenster

Thursday, March 8, 2012

I'm so excited!  In February I joined a new opinion panel called Influenster.com.  Members of this site are sent products to review and share.  The more you share, the more products you earn and the better your influence on major brands and products!  They send packages called VoxBoxes.  I was lucky enough to be selected to receive the Love VoxBox!  This will be my very first VoxBox and I'm so excited to try these great products!

Here's a picture of what I received!  My Love VoxBox contained:
  • Gillette Venus & Olay Razor
  • Kiss Nail Dress - Fashion That Sticks
  • Stash Tea Herbal Tea Sampler
  • Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Creamy Devotion Bar
  • Truvia Natural Sweetener
I'll be posting my product reviews here in the next few days.  So excited to try the Kiss Nail Dress stick-on nails and of course, the chocolate!  I'm not really much of a tea drinker and pretty much loyal to Splenda so we'll see how much I like the Stash Tea and the Truvia.  The razor is something new, too, that I haven't seen before.  I'm usually a disposable Gillette Venus user, since reusable ones can be expensive when it comes to refills.

If you want more information on Influenster or any of the other sites mentioned in this blog, I'll be posting a section soon with more information and links on how to join.

Woolite Complete Review

Thursday, March 1, 2012

DISCLOSURE:  I received a bottle of Woolite Complete from Smiley360.com and Woolite to review.  All opinions are my own.

I'm not fond of hand washing.  But yet the majority of my favorite sweaters and work tops are either Dry Clean Only or Hand Wash Only.  I usually end up with a pile of clothes that either need to be sent to the dry cleaner or need to be hand washed and I end up with nothing to wear!  So, I was pretty excited when I heard I would be receiving a full size bottle of Woolite Complete to try!

The day the bottle arrived, I gathered all the sweaters and tops that were sitting in my room (on top of a pile of stuffed animals that need sewing -- another thing I'm procrastinating on!) and set off to do a load of hand washables.  Usually I just throw in my regular wash clothes in the washer, pour some detergent on, set it to cold and turn on the washer.  With Woolite Complete, you need to first fill the washer with water, pour the detergent in and then add in your laundry.  I followed the directions and set the washer to Hand Wash.
