Lancôme Visionnaire Crescendo VoxBox from Influenster - REVIEW

Monday, May 29, 2017

DISCLOSURE: I received free products from Influenster for review purposes. My opinions are my own.

As much as I don't want to admit it, I'm going to be turning 40 next year! Scary thought. To keep my skin looking young, I've been doing more in the past couple years to try and slow the aging process.

Last month, I was sent the Lancôme VoxBox from Influenster to try. It included:
  • Visionnaire Crescendo - a dual phase night peel
  • Bienfait UV SPF 50+ - a broad spectrum SPF 50+ super fluid facial sunscreen
  • Matte Shaker - comfort matte high pigment  liquid lipstick

 Visionnaire Crescendo

This nighttime facial peel gently exfoliates to reveal smoother, more even and radiant skin. It helps to improve the appearance of pores, wrinkles and fine lines and dark spots. The 28-night regimen involves two phases. Phase 1 is formulated with 5% quinoa husk extract and fruit acids and works to reduce the appearance of pores, improve skin's texture and radiance. After using Phase 1 for 14 nights, you switch to Phase 2 and use that for the last 14 nights. It's formulated with 10% glycolic acid and salicylic acid and works to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots.

After 1 night of using Phase 1: Skin feels smoother and is more radiant
After 3 nights of using Phase 1: Skin tone appears more even and fine lines are visibly reduced
After 14 nights of Phase 1: Pores appear reduced
After 28 nights of Phase 2: Wrinkles and dark spots are visibly reduced

This was my first time trying a night peel. The consistency was thinner than I was expecting, but it was easy to apply and absorbed well. It had a nice scent. The first few nights I used Phase 1, I did get some stinging. As I continued using it, that ceased. After using Phase 1 for 2 weeks, my skin definitely looked and felt smoother and brighter. So, I was pretty excited about trying Phase 2. But, it stung so much more! Plus, it didn't help that the day that I started Phase 2, I had my eyebrows threaded. So much burning! After a few days, though, it didn't really sting that much anymore after I put it on. I didn't really notice any further changes in my skin, though, after using Phase 2 for two weeks. My skin tone was maybe a little more even. My foundation does seem to go on more evenly now.

Before and After using Visionnaire Crescendo. No makeup.
I still have some product left, so I might start the whole 28 nights over.

The product retails for $75 for a 1.0 fl oz bottle and can be found wherever Lancôme products are sold.

Bienfait UV SPF 50+

I usually use a moisturizer with built in SPF protection. Though, they usually max out at about SPF 30. I liked that this sunscreen was SPF 50+. It's meant to be worn over your moisturizer, under makeup or by itself. It's lightweight and oil-free.

The sunscreen was a lot thinner than I was expecting. But, it absorbed well and I liked how it doesn't smell like sunscreen. It doesn't feel greasy at all. I'm planning to pick up more once I run out.

It retails for $39 for a 1.7-fl oz bottle and can be found wherever Lancôme products are sold.

Matte Shaker Liquid Lipstick

This matte lipstick is highly pigmented and delivers intense color with a lightweight, second-skin feel. It wears comfortably throughout the day without drying.

To use, you shake to soak the applicator, apply and wait for it to dry. It's available in 7 shades. I received Pink Power, a pretty magenta color.

I loved this lipstick! It feels like you're not wearing anything! While it didn't last all day, it lasted a good while on my lips. I'm planning on picking up more shades.

It retails for $22 and can be purchased wherever Lancôme products are sold.
