Pantene Pro-V Silky Moisture Whip Review

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

DISCLOSURE:  I received a free sample of Pantene Pro-V Silky Moisture Whip from Vocalpoint to try and review.  All opinions are my own.

I have thick and somewhat wavy hair.  It's frizzy and I can NEVER let it air dry.  I must always always always blow dry it straight and then run a flat iron over it if I'm planning on going anywhere.  So, I'm always on the look out for hair products that will help me manage my hair and protect it from all the damage that I do it.  When Vocalpoint had samples of Pantene Pro-V Silky Moisture Whip available to try, I signed up right away!

Pantene Pro-V Silky Moisture Whip claims to erase the damage of 100 blow-drys and help to moisturize and repair damage from root to tip.  It's supposed to leave hair feeling soft, manageable and strong.

I tried my sample a couple days ago.  I washed my hair as I normally do and then applied the moisture whip to my hair.  At first, it was hard to dispense it.  I pressed hard with my thumb and then a WHOLE lot came out.

Luckily, my hair is super thick and so I ended up using most of what came out.  Immediately, I could feel a difference in my hair.  It was smoother and easier to style.  It was easier to comb through it.  While it still took about half an hour to blow dry my hair and flat iron it, it did feel softer and smoother.  Here's what I looked like after I used it:

The next day, I decided to use my normal hair product to try and compare.  I washed my hair with the same shampoo and conditioner but then put my normal anti-frizz cream in before I dried it.  My hair felt drier and it wasn't as easy to comb through and detangle my hair.  My hair didn't seem as smooth or as soft after I dried and ran a flat iron over it.

Would you recommend it?
Yes!  I love how it made my hair feel and how much easier it was to style it in the morning.  It also smells really nice!  Now, if only I can find something that dries my hair faster, I'll be all set!
How much does it cost?
The suggested retail price is about $6.99 for a 5.29 oz bottle.
Where can I buy it?
You should be able to find it at all major drug stores, mass merchandisers, grocery stores and online retailers.
