Crochet - Chunky Ribbed 2-Color Crochet Cowl
Monday, January 30, 2017
I've been doing a lot of knitting and crochet the past couple months. Most have been hats. I did do a couple cowls and I've been wanting to try and make mittens.
Last week, I wanted to do something quick and easy. So, I made this cowl. I used the Chunky Ribbed Infinity Scarf pattern from Little Monkeys Crochet. The pattern is all half double crochet stitches, so pretty easy. But, I wanted to do something a little different and make it two colors.
I had bought a couple skeins of Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn from Walmart for pretty cheap. I was thinking of making a hat with it, but hadn't found the right pattern. As I was browsing on Ravelry the other day, I came across a post about the color combination of yellow and grey. I liked the way it looked and decided to make a cowl with that combination.
A Day At Fort Washington Park
Tuesday, January 24, 2017
One of our family goals this year is to travel more. My kids and I love going on road trips! One thing that we're planning to do this year is to try and visit as many national parks as we can.
We decided to start somewhere local. We visited Fort Washington Park in Fort Washington, Maryland. I grew up in Fort Washington and the park was definitely a big part of my childhood. We celebrated birthdays in the park. My Dad taught me how to ride a bike in the park. I practiced driving around in the park. My family and I spent a lot time in the park. So, it was great to be able to show my husband and the kids around the park.

Mucinex Fast-Max Clear & Cool Cold Flu & Sore Throat - REVIEW
Tuesday, January 17, 2017
DISCLOSURE: I received a free sample from Smiley360 to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
I've had a cold now for the past few days. It started with a sore throat and progressively got worse. My ear hurts, my nose is stuffy and runny, my body hurts and I have a low-grade fever. I haven't been feeling so run down that I haven't been able to get out of bed, but I just feel like blah.
The other night, I couldn't even sleep because my nose was running so much. I had to get up and take some night-time cold medicine to help me get some sleep.
The next day, I decided to try this Mucinex Fast-Max Clear & Cool Cold, Flu & Sore Throat liquid that I received from Smiley360. I don't normally like to drink liquid medicine. They usually have a weird taste that require me chasing it down with some other drink.
Breakfast at Garden Grill - Epcot - Walt Disney World - REVIEW
Thursday, January 12, 2017
On our last trip to Disney World this past November, we had a chance to experience breakfast at the Garden Grill at Epcot. The Garden Grill is located on the upper floor of The Land Pavilion. The restaurant slowly rotates and provides views of the Living With The Land ride. The Garden Grill offers family-style dining and many of the fruits and vegetables served in the restaurant are grown in the Living With The Land greenhouses.

My younger kids are scared of the dark and like to sleep with a nightlight. Right now, they use a somewhat broken one that my older kids used to have. The design part of it had broken off years ago, so basically it's just a nightlight bulb.
A few weeks ago, I was scrolling through my Instagram and saw a picture of a Minion nightlight that someone had gotten for their kids' room. I thought it was pretty cool and my 6-year-old son was on a Minions/Despicable Me kick, so I thought it would be perfect for him!
