Summer is almost here. To help get ready to show some skin, I like to a good body scrub to make my skin softer and smoother. In the past, I've used sugar scrubs. Recently, I had the opportunity to try a dead sea salt scrub by Adovia.

Adovia Mineral Skin Care specializes in hair and skin care products made from Dead Sea Mud and Dead Sea Salt. Their products are 100% cruelty free and never tested on animals. Their Dead Sea Salt Scrub is made with pure Dead Sea Salt and moisturizing natural oils. The scrub exfoliates the top layer of skin to reveal younger looking skin. The natural oils help to keep skin moisturized all day.

This was my first time trying a salt scrub. When I first opened the container, I was actually kind of surprised at what it looked like. With the sugar scrubs I've used in the past, there wasn't really any liquid in the container. But, with this salt scrub, the salt was at the bottom and the oils were on top.


I thought it was because the product had settled during shipment. So I tried to mix it up at first, but that didn't really do much.

The salt scrub reminded me of the scrub that's used in nail salons when I get a pedicure. It smells really nice. I use it in the shower before I shave my legs. I scoop up some of the salt and oil and then scrub my legs and feet. After rinsing, it leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth. After my shower, my legs feel moisturized enough that I don't even need to put lotion on! That's saying a lot, since my skin is usually pretty dry. I do, though, use some lotion to help lock in the moisture.


I love how Adovia Dead Sea Salt Body Scrub makes my skin feel. It's definitely something that I'll add to my skincare regimen.
