Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas Review

Sunday, March 23, 2014

DISCLOSURE:  I received free samples of Red Rose Tea from Influenster to facilitate this review.  My opinions are my own.

I'm not much of a tea drinker.  I'll drink iced tea, sweet and unsweet.  But, I don't really like to drink hot tea.  I don't know if it's because of the herbal flavor or what, but I just can never finish a whole cup of hot tea.

My latest box from Influenster, the J'Adore VoxBox, included samples of Red Rose Simply Indulgent Tea.  These teas blend handcrafted black tea with premium natural flavors.  It's available in tea bag form or as a single serve cup (for use in a Keurig machine).  The tea bag form comes in four flavors:
  • Creme Caramel
  • Peach Cobbler
  • Lemon Chiffon (Decaffienated)
  • Cinnamon Streusel (Decaffienated)
The single serve cup also comes in four different flavors:
  • Vanilla Biscotti
  • Spiced Chai
  • Sweet Mint
  • Cinnamon Bun
I received the Creme Caramel and Lemon Chiffon flavors to try.  I decided to try the Creme Caramel flavor first.  I love caramel.  I made myself a cup and had it with a yummy blueberry scone.

It smelled wonderful!  It was sweet smelling and I thought it would be the tea that finally changed my mind on drinking hot tea.  Sadly, that was not the case.  I was expecting it to be sweet.  But, it wasn't.  Or at least, not as sweet as I would have liked it to be.  So, I added some Splenda.  Not a whole packet -- just a few shakes, hoping that would add some of the sweetness I was looking for.  That made it a little easier for me to drink the tea.  I think if maybe I had it iced, I would have liked it better.

Overall, I think if I were a regular hot tea drinker, then this would be a wonderful to drink.  It can give you the taste of yummy desserts like Peach Cobbler and Cinnamon Buns, but without the calories!

Would you recommend it?
It depends.  If you're a hot tea drinker, then I think this would be a delicious tea to try.  For me, though, I think I get hung up on the hot tea thing.  I probably wouldn't buy it again.  Unless they come out with bottled iced tea!

How much does it cost?
The suggested retail price is $4.49 for a carton of 20 tea bags or $7.99 for a box of 12 single serve cups.

Where can I buy it?
You can find it at all major grocery stores and online retailers.  You can use their online Store Locator to find a location near you.
