John Frieda Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight Flat Iron Spray Review

DISCLOSURE:  I received a free product from Influenster to facilitate this review.  My opinions are my own.

My hair has a little bit of a wave in it.  It's not super curly, but it's definitely not straight either.  I usually either blow dry and flat iron it straight or sometimes, when it's longer, I'll scrunch it and wear it wavy.  Right now, my hair is above my shoulders.  So, I'm heat styling and straightening it pretty much everyday.  It's so damaging!  But, I find my hair starts to look bad after a day or two of not washing and it just does not air dry nicely.

So, I was intrigued when I was sent the John Frieda Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight Flat Iron Spray to try in my J'Adore VoxBox.  I was familiar with the John Frieda Frizz Ease line, having used the serum and heat protecting spray in the past.  But, it was going to be interesting to see how my hair would look after 3 days of not washing!
John Frieda 3 Day Straight Flat Iron Spray has a revolutionary heat-activated formula that wraps each strand in long-lasting straightness for up to 3 days (or until your next shampoo, if less than 3 days) without weighing hair down.  The formula is infused with keratin, which protects against heat damage and blocks frizz, making hair glossy, smooth and swinging with body.

After washing my hair, I sprayed it with the Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight.  It said to use between 7-15 sprays, depending on the amount of curl, hair length and thickness.  I opted for 15 sprays because my hair is super thick.  I combed the product through my hair and then proceeded to blow dry it straight with my round brush.  After blow drying, I used my flat iron.

Here's a before and after shot of my hair:

I loved how my hair felt and looked after using the spray!  It wasn't as frizzy as it usually is after using my other styling products.  My hair looked smoother and shinier.  On the second day, my hair wasn't bad at all.  I did use a little bit of dry shampoo at the roots to help with some greasiness, but my hair was still straight.  I actually didn't feel too bad about going out in public with unwashed hair.  By the third day, though, my hair was getting really greasy and my dry shampoo was no match.  After taking a picture, I had to go wash it!  But, as you can see in the picture below, even on day 3, my hair was still straight -- just looks really slept on!

Would you recommend it?
I would!  It did what it said it would do.  It made my hair smooth and straight.  And even on day 3, it still looked straight.  I probably won't go as long as 3 days, though, in the future between hair washes.  But, I like the results that I get from using the spray and knowing that I can go at least one day without washing it and not looking like a hot mess!

How much does it cost?
The suggested retail price is about $9.99 for a 3.5 fl oz bottle.

Where can I buy it?
You can find it at all major drug stores, mass merchandisers, grocery stores and online retailers.
