I almost never do my nails. When I do get a manicure, it gets messed up almost immediately. And I suck at painting my own nails. So, I usually just keep my nails short and somewhat shape them with a file.
When I was given the Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure to try, I was a little skeptical. The last time I used anything like it was way back in the days of the Lee Press-On Nails! They were horrible and just looked fake. I hoped that these would be better.
imPRESS Press-on Manicure gives you a salon-perfect manicure in seconds. It's available in 36 different designs. They feature:
- No drying time - Just apply the nail covers and you're ready to go! No need to wait for glue or nail polish to dry.
- Superior, lasting shine - They have an indestructible top coat that rivals the best salon gel polish.
- Easy removal - You can either gently peel the nail covers from the sides or apply nail polish remover to the edges, wait a minute and then peel off the covers.
- Lasts up to a week - When applied properly, the manicure lasts up to a week, while keeping your nails protected.
When you open the package, there's a container shaped like a bottle of nail polish that holds all the nail covers. There's also a Prep Pad to be used to ready your nails for the covers.
Inside the nail polish bottle, there are 24 nail covers in 12 different sizes -- enough for one manicure.
To apply the nail covers, they recommend trying on the different sizes to find the right fit and then laying them out in finger order. I hard such a hard time with this! It took me forever to find ones that I thought would fit. It seemed like my nails were always in between sizes. They do recommend going with the smaller of the two, if you're in between sizes.
The end with the plastic tab aligns with your cuticle. You peel off the tab and then press firmly on the nail cover to apply. For some reason, it was hard for me to peel them off and it got harder as I applied the nail covers. I'm just not used to having long nails! Though you can file the nail covers down to your desired length.
Here's the finished product! I think they look better with an Instagram filter:
Would you recommend it? Maybe. I found it hard to find the right size nail cover and felt like it would have been easier if I had someone help me apply them. It was hard for me to remove the plastic tabs when I had the longer nails on. And it was hard for me to remove the nails (which I did after taking pictures!). It definitely took longer than just a few seconds to remove them. BUT, I like the idea of having a nice manicure without having to spend the money and risk having them get messed up. They imPRESS Press-On Manicures come in a great variety of different colors and designs. It would be an easy and inexpensive way to change up the look of your nails!
How much does it cost? Impress Color Manicure retails for about $5.99 and Impress Pattern Manicure retails for about $7.99.
