It's summer and it's HOT! Today is supposed to be 99 degrees with a heat index of 105! This is shorts, skirts and dresses weather. But, to wear those I need smooth legs. Shaving, though, can get expensive. You've got the price of your razor, the shave gel, the refills -- all of that can add up, especially if you're shaving everyday! I've resorted to using disposables, since they're cheaper and I don't have to buy refills. But they don't last as long and I'm having to go out to buy razors more often.
Enter the BIC Soleil Savvy razor -- an innovative razor that combines the convenience and priced-to-please savings of a disposable razor with the premium shave performance of a refillable cartridge system. Every Soleil Savvy package contains an easy-grip disposable handle and four replaceable, triple-blade heads.
Prior to trying the BIC Soleil Savvy razor, I had been using Gillette Venus disposable razors and the BIC Soleil Bella razor. They both have four blades and usually come packaged in sets of three. The skin on my legs though are kind of sensitive. When I shave too many times, they become inflamed and covered in razor bumps and ingrown hairs. To try and prevent that, I replace my razor often to keep the blades sharp. I try not to use any razors with more than four blades. I found the higher the number of blades, the worse my legs got.
So, I was excited to try the Soleil Savvy since it only has three blades. And I loved the fact that it came with refills! Instead of chucking my disposable, I could just switch out the head and save a trip to the store. I've been using the razor for a month now and still have one refill left. I've noticed my legs have not been as inflamed as they were before when I was using other razors. The razor glides smoothly over my legs and it's easy to maneuver over those hard-to-shave areas. Even though it only has three blades, I still find I get a close, smooth shave.
The BIC Soleil Savvy razor has the following features:
- Triple-blade heads with flexible blade technology and lubricating strips with Vitamin E
- The razor's handle includes a rubber grip for added control
- Pivoting heads are made to follow a woman's contours and provide a super-close shave
- Each package includes one disposable handle and four refillable cartridges
Yes. This has become my favorite to use! It costs a little more than a regular disposable but it comes with refills. It gives a close, comfortable shave and works just as well as a regular refillable razor.
