I am not a good cook. At all. My husband does the majority of the cooking in our house. He works Monday through Thursdays and so on those days, it's up to me to figure out what my preschooler and I are eating for lunch.

Sometimes, we'll have leftovers from the previous night's dinner. Sometimes, we eat sandwiches. And hey, sometimes, we go to Chick-Fil-A and eat lunch there! But, now, thanks to Moms Meet, I have a new alternative for lunch!

Introducing, Luvo Frozen Meals! They're quick and easy meals to make that adds variety to my usual lunchtime options. Luvo Frozen Meals combine veggies, protein and whole grains to provide healthy, nutritious meals that also taste good. They contain
  • No high-fructose corn syrup
  • No artificial preservatives
  • No artificial flavorings or colorings
  • No hydrogenated fats
Plus, they use organic and non-GMO ingredients, whenever possible.

Luvo Frozen Meals are available in four varieties:
  • Steam In Pouch Meals - these contain full servings of veggies, whole grains and quality proteins. The meals are flash frozen in custom steam in pouch packaging.
  • Luvo Bowls - these meals come in a convenient paperboard bowl
  • Luvo Planted Power Bowls - these meals contain at least two full servings of veggies, organic whole grain rice from Lotus Foods and plant proteins, all in a convenient paperboard bowl
  • Luvo Breakfasts - these meals offer whole grain and high protein options for busy mornings
Using Luvo's Store Finder, I found that my local Giant carried the product. They didn't have a lot in the store, but I managed to pick up three kinds of the Steam In Pouch Meals.

The meals are very easy to make. Each box contains a pouch. You place the pouch, seam side up, on a microwave-safe plate and follow the cooking instructions printed on the pouch.

While the pouch cooks in the microwave, it might pop open from the steam. That scared me the first time.

After letting it rest for a minute, you cut open the top of the back and slide its contents out onto a plate. The presentation looks really nice once it's on your plate! It doesn't look like your average microwavable meal. And it tastes just as good as it looks!

My preschooler and I shared the Red Wine Braised Beef and Polenta. She loved the beef! I don't usually eat butternut squash, but found it pretty good in this dish.

My husband tried the Chicken in BBQ Sauce. He thought it was pretty good for a frozen meal. Though, one meal wasn't enough to satisfy his hunger.

Out of the three I've tried, my favorite is the Turkey Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes. I loved everything in it -- even the brussels sprouts! And I hate brussels sprouts.

My preschooler liked it, too! She even ate the mashed potatoes. And she never eats mashed potatoes.

I can't wait to try more of these. I plan to keep several stocked in our freezer and maybe I'll bring some to work, too. I usually don't get much time for lunch at work. But, since these are so quick and easy to make, they'll be a great alternative to the food court fare I usually have.
