Ever since I entered my mid-thirties (ugh, I hate admitting that!), I've become more aware of changes in my skin. My skin has gotten more dry and the skin tone has become uneven. My eyes just always look tired. I have eye bags that never go away and the skin around my eyes are always dark.

This has led to my search for skincare products that can help me improve the look of my skin. Recently, I had the opportunity to try out a few skincare products from Radha Beauty. The brand is fairly new, having launched in the summer of 2014. They specialize in natural skincare products and organic oils. I tried their Vitamin C Serum, Retinol Moisturizer and Intensive Youth Eye Gel.

VITAMIN C SERUM

Radha Beauty's Vitamin C Serum is an anti-aging brightening serum that combines Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid. It provides the following benefits:

• It stimulates the production of collagen, resulting in more vibrant, firm and youthful skin
• It contains antioxidents, which can reduce the skin damage caused by the sun, pollution and impurities in the air
• It enhances skin's rate of exfoliation for a smoother, brighter and more radiant complexion
• It greatly diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
• Its high percentage of hyaluronic acid moisturizes skin and helps to reduce skin problems due to aging

I've only started using skin serums within the past year. This serum was thinner than others I've tried. You don't need a lot and one pump was enough to cover my entire face. It doesn't really have a scent and absorbs pretty quickly. I applied the serum in the morning after washing and toning my face.

After about a week's use, I have noticed my skin looking brighter and somewhat smoother.  See my before and after shots at the bottom of this post.

RETINOL MOISTURIZER

This moisturizer is formulated with 2.5% active retinol, Vitamin E and green tea. It diminishes the signs of aging and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth. It's all natural and 71% organic. The moisturizer supports natural cell turnover to help improve skin tone and texture.

I've always been somewhat hesitant to try anything with retinol. I thought of it being more for those with mature skin. Plus, I've read that those who use retinol should not spend too much time out in the sun. The directions do recommend using sunscreen if using the moisturizer daily.

Since it's winter and I'm not spending much time outside anyway, I thought it would be a good time to try this moisturizer. And the BB cream that I use each day has some SPF protection. I applied the moisturizer in the morning after washing, toning and using the Vitamin C Serum.

The moisturizer is light and absorbs quickly. With my sensitive skin, I was expecting it to burn. But it didn't. After the first few uses, I didn't really notice much of a difference. I felt my skin was still dry and even applied another moisturizer (that had SPF built in) on top of it. After using it for a week now, I feel that combined with the Vitamin C Serum, the moisturizer has helped to give me smoother and brighter skin. Again, see the before and after shots below.

INTENSIVE YOUTH EYE GEL

Radha Beauty's Intensive Youth Eye Gel combines Plant Stem Cells, Matrixyl 3000, Hyaluronic Acid, Peptide Complex and Vitamin E to help give dramatically radiant and youthful eyes. The eye gel eliminates dark eye circles, puffiness, dryness and sagging around the eyes. It moisturizes the skin around the eyes to help prevent premature aging and can be used for the entire face.

I've only recently started using eye creams. I've noticed I'm getting more lines around my eyes -- especially, when I smile. And my skin around my eyes always seem so puffy, even when I've gotten enough sleep.

The eye gel is kind of whitish and easy to apply. It goes on cool and absorbs quickly into the skin. I used it on the skin around my eyes and on my forehead.

I didn't notice any dramatic differences after a week's use. The skin around my eyes was more moisturized and perhaps a little brighter. See the results in the photo below!


So after using all three products together after a week, I did begin to see some changes. My skin wasn't as dry and it did appear smoother and less dull. I'll continue to use all three together and post another picture after a couple weeks.
