DISCLOSURE: I received free samples of Hormel Compleats Kids meals to review and try from Hormel and SheSpeaks.com. All opinions are my own.
My kids don't normally eat microwave or packaged meals. But honestly, these work great when you have no time to be cooking in the kitchen!
I've been sick with either a cold or bronchitis or allergies now for over a month and a half! There were a few days where I just could not drag myself out of bed. And with a 6-year-old, 4-year-old and a 7-month-old, that is not acceptable!
On one of those days a couple weeks ago, I decided to try one of these Hormel Compleats Kids meals to see if the kids would like it. I let them each choose which one they wanted to eat. My daughter chose the ravioli and my son chose the spaghetti and meatballs. It only took 45 seconds to cook each meal in the microwave and the kids ate it all. Normally, they might leave a few bites left on their plates. But this time they ate their whole meal. I served it with some fresh fruit too.
Overall, these work well for when you're short on time and need to make something for the kids fast. But I wouldn't want to serve these for every meal, every day.
Would you recommend it?
It depends. I wouldn't serve this all the time. I tend to avoid serving processed foods. But if I'm in a pinch and need something quick, then this works!
How much does it cost? I can't find an exact price. I think they're roughly around $1.50 each, depending on where you shop.
Where can I buy it? At your local grocery store, drug store and mass merchandisers.
