A New Look For Spring - The Bloom Salon - Tysons Corner, VA

DISCLOSURE: I received free services in exchange for a review. No further compensation was provided.

I change my hair often. I tend to get bored with my hair and try to do different things with it. I usually visit the hair salon every 4-6 weeks. My last hair appointment was at the beginning of February and I was ready for a change. My roots were starting to show and the greys were starting to pop up again.

With my job, it's hard to find the time to go to the salon. My current work schedule does not match up very well with my regular stylist. I was overdue for a touch up on my color and already had to cancel my scheduled appointment with her. As fortune would have it, the week after I was scheduled to get my hair done, I was invited to visit The Bloom Salon in Tysons Corner, VA.

Located in the Tysons Tower at Tysons Corner Center, this fairly new salon offers a wide variety of salon and spa services, including updos, color, massages and microblading. The salon is bright and modern. Even though it's small, it doesn't feel cramped and gives it more of an intimate feel.

Garage parking is available across the street. Self-park and valet parking is available. Though I'm not a fan of parking garages, I chose to self park. The garage is located outside the Lord & Taylor at Tysons Corner Center.

Even though I was a few minutes late, they were able to take me right away. Upon arriving, I was offered a selection from their beverage menu. It included sparkling water, coffee, tea, soda and even alcoholic choices like white wine or a Mimosa! I chose a glass of Rosé.

First, I sat down with Nsombi, one of the Owners and Master Stylists. She was going to be doing my color. We discussed what I had in mind. I knew I wanted to go a little lighter and brighter for the new season. I tried to pull up a picture on my phone from last summer, but my cell service was a little weak in the salon. After looking through my hair, she figured out what she was going to do and went off to mix my color.
Before we got started, we took some before shots.

After Nsombi finished applying the color, it was time for the color to process. The Bloom Salon is one of a few area salons to feature the Takara Belmont Roller Ball F. It has a rotating ring that helps color and chemical treatments to penetrate deeper and faster, delivering better results that last.

After color was done, I sat with Moira. She is also one of the Owners and a Master Stylist. She was going to be doing my cut and style. I didn't really want to lose much length. I just wanted the ends cleaned up. I've never had anyone spend as much time as she did cutting my hair!

I loved the results! The color was great, even with my vague description of how I wanted it to look. It was definitely lighter and brighter! The cut and color were so beautiful! I really felt like I was pampered from beginning to end.

I loved my experience at The Bloom Salon! The staff were all wonderful. I'm looking forward to my next visit. If you are local to the DC Metro area, I would highly recommend checking the salon out!
