I'm a mom of four kids. My oldest is about to turn ten in about a week and my youngest just turned one a couple months ago. It feels like I've been buying and changing diapers forever! I've used many different kinds -- from big name brands to generic store brands -- all with varying degrees of success.
I recently had the opportunity to try the Well Beginnings line of baby care items, sold exclusively at Walgreens. I was sent a package of Well Beginnings Diapers in size 4, a package of Well Beginnings Sensitive Wipes, a bottle of Well Beginnings Baby Wash and a bottle of Walgreens Pediatric Oral Electrolyte.
Well Beginnings Diapers feature a soft, stretchable waist and an extra soft inner liner with natural botanicals, vitamin E and aloe. Side panels help to provide excellent leakage protection. They're available in Newborn to Size 6. The retail price for Well Beginnings Size 4 Jumbo Diapers (31 count) is $8.99.
Normally, my daughter wears a size 3. The size 4 Well Beginnings diapers fit children weighing 22-37 lbs. At her 12 month appointment a couple months ago, she was only 19 lbs. So, the diapers were a little big on her.
I was worried they would leak since it wasn't exactly a tight fit. But, surprisingly, we had no leaks. We didn't experience any diaper rash or irritation.

I really liked these wipes. The container was easy to open and traveled well. It was easy to dispense and I didn't have any trouble with more than one wipe coming out at a time. The wipes were thick and strong, but soft and gentle. I liked that they didn't leave a film on my hands, like some other wipes do. I found myself using them for more than just wiping the baby. I used it for wiping my kids' hands and feet and mouths, too.
Trying to open the wipes, while my Dyson makes a cameo appearance. |
I liked how they had a textured side, making it easy to clean baby. |
I found the baby wash to be very mild. It lathered well and had a pleasant scent. I liked that it wasn't overly fragranced and was easy to rinse off. My daughter smelled nice once we got her out of the tub.
Thankfully, my daughter hasn't gotten sick enough to warrant using the Walgreens Pediatric Oral Electrolyte given to us to try. So, unfortunately, I can't comment on how well it worked. It's to be used to restore fluid and electrolytes lost during diarrhea and vomiting, to prevent dehydration. The bottle we were sent was dye-free and fruit-flavored. Pricing varies from store to store.
