DISCLOSURE: I received free products from Crowdtap in order to throw a Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Star Wars-Themed Party. All opinions are my own.

My two boys are Star Wars fans. So, they were pretty excited when I told them we were picked to host a Star Wars-Themed Kraft Macaroni & Cheese  Party! They love mac and cheese!

We received a fun kit that included:
  • 5 boxes of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Star Wars Shapes
  • Star Wars themed tablecloth
  • Star Wars plates, cups and napkins
  • Star Wars tote bag
  • Coupons
  • $10 VISA gift card

I'm ashamed to say I'm not really familiar with Star Wars. I might have watched parts of the Episodes IV - VI when I was little, but I don't really remember much. My kids and husband had to try to teach me about it, so I could come up with ideas for the party!

With me working on weekends, I really only had one day to host. Sadly, there weren't too many people free to come. So, we mainly had the kids around our neighborhood come over to eat and play.

I thought it would be fun to serve foods and drinks with a Star Wars theme. My husband and I brainstormed and came up with some fun ideas. I wanted to print out the food names in a Star Wars font, but sadly, our printer isn't working. So, I ended up having to hand draw them with a Sharpie. It took forever and didn't turn out exactly as I would have liked. But, they worked.

Our Stars Wars party treats!
For the main dish, we used Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Star Wars Shapes. We added in ground beef to make the dish more filling. Kraft Macaroni & Cheese now contain no artificial flavors, preservatives or synthetic colors! They come in fun shapes, including Yoda, C-3PO, R2-D2, Darth Vader and an X-Wing Fighter. The boxes feature Yoda, Darth Vader, C-3PO and R2-D2 on the front and the back of the boxes has half of each character's face. You can collect all 8!

The kids liked the Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Star Wars Shapes. In general, they're fans of regular Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. The Star Wars shapes just made them more fun. They liked the addition of ground beef, too.

I think, one of the most popular foods at the party were our Light Sabers. We put green and red grapes on a wooden skewer. Ideally, I would have also wrapped some silver duct tape on the bottom of the skewer, but we didn't have time for that.

Another popular thing at the party was our Vader-Ade. We put Strawberry Lemonade in a drink dispenser with Hans Solo Cups!

Some things we had out were pretty easy to do. We put some Rolos chocolates in a bowl and called them "Han Rolos." We put chocolate-chip flavored Teddy Grahams and called them "Ewok Grahams." We also made Tie Fighters using cheese crackers, cubes of cheddar cheese and cream cheese.

For people who didn't want the Vader-Ade, we put out bottled water and called it "Luke Skywater." We also put potato chips in a bowl and called those "Princess Lays." And we baked up some tater tots and called them "Darth Taters."

I had planned on making a little sign to go with the cutlery that said, "Use The Forks, Luke," but I got so tired of drawing all the other signs. So, we'll just pretend this little Yoda is saying it.

Use The Forks, Luke!
I also had planned on having the kids play with and eat these Light Saber Ice Pops that I found at the store. But, boo, they weren't frozen in time for the party.

Overall, the kids had a great time! We'll serve them the Light Saber Ice Pops on another hot day. And we'll definitely be picking up Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Star Wars Shapes!

Have you tried them yet? What did you think?
