Wednesday, October 28, 2015

DISCLOSURE: I received a free product from Crowdtap to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

My kids don't really watch Sesame Street, but they love Elmo! We recently got the chance to try out the new Play All Day Elmo from Playskool!

Play All Day Elmo features eight games and activities and over 150 different responses. It grows with your child and has two modes of play: Toddler and Preschool. In Toddler Mode, kids can interact with Elmo in basic cause-and-effect play. You can tickle Elmo's tummy, clap his hands together and squeeze his nose. With special sensors built in, he can tell when you throw Elmo in the air or jump up and down while holding him or even when you kiss him on the face!

Spiderweb Brownies with Chocolate Pretzel Spiders #HalloweenFLIPZ

Monday, October 26, 2015

DISCLOSURE: I received a free package of Flipz from Smiley360 to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

Halloween is 5 days away. We've finally figured out what the kids are going to be. We've put up our Halloween decorations. Now, it's time to make some fun Halloween treats!

I've actually made these Spiderweb Brownies before, when I hosted a Hotel Transylvania Monster Valentine's Day party. This year, I thought it would be cute to add little chocolate spiders on the brownies.

I modified a recipe from the King Arthur Flour website. I opted to use a boxed brownie mix, but feel free to use either the King Arthur Flour brownie recipe or your own favorite brownie recipe.

Crest Pro-Health Advanced Rinse - REVIEW

Thursday, October 22, 2015

DISCLOSURE: I received a free sample from BzzAgent. All opinions are my own.

I don't use mouthwash as often as I should. Even though my dental hygienist has recommended using an oral rinse when I brush, I haven't been able to make it part of my oral care routine. A big reason is because a lot of mouthwashes burn! Sometimes they burn so much, that I can't rinse for the full minute that they require.

Recently, I was given the chance to try Crest Pro-Health Advanced with Extra Deep Clean Mouthwash. It's alcohol free! So, it provides all the great benefits of mouthwash, but without the burn!

Apple & Eve Juice VoxBox - REVIEW #PurelyOrganics #QuenchersAdventures

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

DISCLOSURE: I received free products from Influenster to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

My kids don't drink a lot of juice. They usually get a juice box with their school lunch, but that's about it. When they do drink juice, we try to give them something that's all natural and 100% juice. We look for juice that doesn't contain any artificial colors or flavors or added sugars. One of our favorite brands of juice to buy is Apple & Eve.

Apple & Eve have recently added two new products to their line of 100% juices:
  • Apple & Eve Organics
  • Apple & Eve Organic Quenchers
I had the chance to try the new juices, thanks to Influenster.

Trim Healthy Mama Plan #TrimHealthyMama #MomsMeet

Sunday, October 18, 2015

DISCLOSURE: I received free products from Moms Meet to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

We have a very busy household. With work, the kids' school, the kids' extracurricular activities, and just general household upkeep, we don't always have the time to make sure everyone is eating right. There have been too many days where my lunch has consisted of random snacks, or worse, sometimes just candy.

Thanks to Moms Meet, I recently had the chance to check out the Trim Healthy Mama Plan. While I'm not looking to lose any weight (if anything, I probably need to gain some weight), I was hoping to find some easy healthy recipes to make for my family.

When I told my one sister about being selected to review the Trim Healthy Mama Plan, she right away requested to be at the sampling. She has been trying to eat healthier for over a year now and has tried everything from trying paleo diets to staying away from gluten and dairy. I also invited other family members, though only my parents were able to come by.

Kerastase Resistance Therapiste Review

Tuesday, October 13, 2015

DISCLOSURE: I received free products from Influenster to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

I have super thick hair. It's not curly, but has somewhat of a wave. I blow dry it straight and use a flat iron almost daily. I also color it somewhat regularly to cover up the grays. All of this leaves my hair pretty damaged. I have split ends and often my hair just feels dry and looks dull and frizzy. I've tried numerous moisturizing and strengthening shampoos and conditioners, but haven't really seen any improvement.

Recently, I had the chance to try Kerastase Resistance Therapiste. The brand was new to me. I've heard of it but never tried it before. The Resistance Therapiste line is meant to give over-processed, very damaged hair a second life. This sounded like exactly what my hair needed!

Our Stay At Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Monday, October 12, 2015

DISCLOSURE: This is a non-sponsored post. This is not meant to be a comprehensive review of the resort, just a reflection of our recent stay at the resort.

This past August, we spent a week at Disney World. It was our second on-property stay. Last year, we had stayed in two rooms at Pop Century with the Fall Free Dining Promo. This year, we went with one room at Caribbean Beach Resort. I thought it would be interesting to see how a Moderate Resort compared to a Value Resort. Plus, it was cheaper to go with just one room!

We're a family of six. But for booking purposes, since my youngest is only 2, we were treated as a family of five. A lot of the rooms at Caribbean Beach Resort have recently been renovated to include a pull-down bed and sleep five.

I had a fax request sent in to the resort (through Touring Plans) a few days before we were set to arrive. I requested a room in Building 52 in the Aruba Village. On the map, the building looked close to the walking path to the main pool and food court. Plus, it wasn't too far from the quiet pool and laundry facilities.

I also completed Online Check-In before we left. This made it possible for us to bypass going to the Custom House and go straight to our room. After a 16-hour drive, we didn't want to have to wait for our room to be ready.

I'm A Chick-Fil-A Mom! #ChickFilAMoms

Thursday, October 8, 2015

I'm excited to announce I have again been selected to join the Chick-Fil-A Mom Panel! This will be my second year on the Panel.

My family and I have been fans of Chick-Fil-A for years! I can still remember when the Chick-Fil-A first opened up in the Food Court in our local mall! The staff would hand out samples of the Original Chicken Sandwich. They were so good!

Every member of my family has a favorite. My youngest two kids like the Waffle Fries. My older son likes the Fruit Cup. My older daughter likes the nuggets. My husband always get the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. My favorite are the milkshakes! And I use the Polynesian Sauce on everything!

As a member of the Chick-Fil-A Mom Panel, I'll post news about new menu items, services, and other fun things from Chick-Fil-A!
