Curried Honey Chicken

Thursday, January 15, 2015

My husband does the cooking in our family. He has his staples that he makes regularly, but he's always looking for new recipes to try.  He doesn't use Pinterest or really any kind of social media. So, I'm not actually sure where he finds his recipes.  I just see stacks of recipes that he's printed out. Some of them turn out great and become recipes that we make over and over.  Others we only make once and then throw the recipe out!

This recipe was surprisingly one of the good ones. I wasn't expecting much from it. My husband never prints out a picture, so I don't know what things are supposed to look like when they're done! But, this turned out really good. All of our kids liked it, which hardly ever happens!

Curried Honey Chicken

Ingredients
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 cup honey
1/2 cup mustard (we used coarse ground dijon mustard)
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup milk
2 tsp curry powder
1 tsp sea salt

Directions
1.  Stir together melted butter, honey, milk and mustard in a bowl.  Add the curry powder and sea salt and stir to combine.

2.  Place the chicken into a 13 x 9 glass dish and pour curry sauce over them.

3.  Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let sit in the fridge for a couple hours.

4.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

5.  Bake for at least 45 minutes.
