Kleenex Brand Tissues Review

DISCLOSURE:  I received free products from Crowdtap to facilitate this review.  All opinions are my own.

This time of year, it's inevitable that someone in the family gets sick.  It might be that the kids bring home a virus from school or my husband and I pick up something from one of our co-workers.  That means lots of sneezing, sore throats and runny noses.  We go through a lot of tissues in the winter.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try out a couple different varieties of tissues from Kleenex.  We usually buy Kleenex brand tissues, but just the regular Everyday or Ultra-Soft kinds.  I was sent a box of Kleenex with Lotion and the Kleenex Anti-Viral.  For as long as I've been using Kleenex tissues, I'm not sure I've ever tried these varieties!

Kleenex Tissues with Lotion

With a touch of lotion made with Vitamin E and aloe, Kleenex Tissues with Lotion are gentle and soft.  They provide softness for even the most delicate skin, leaving skin feeling more soothed and moisturized than with other regular tissues.  They're available in square and rectangular tissues boxes, ranging from 60 to 75 count packages.

One of the first things you notice about the Kleenex Tissues with Lotion is the nice design on the box.  All Kleenex Tissues are available in fun designs that you can match with your home decor.  They even have holiday designs!

The tissues were thick and strong.  Though, I was actually expecting them to be a little softer.  The tissues weren't rough on my nose, but they also weren't as soothing as I would have liked.  If my nose was feeling raw after blowing my nose a bunch of times, the Kleenex Tissues with Lotion wouldn't make my nose feel more irritated.

Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues

Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues feature three soft layers, including a moisture-activated middle layer that kills 99.9% of cold and flu viruses in the tissue within 15 minutes.  They're available in 68-count square boxes in four designs.

One thing that I noticed about these tissues is that they have a Box Top on them.  I have three kids in school and they all collect box tops for their school.  It's nice to know I can help out their schools with products that I already buy.

Another thing I noticed when I opened the box of tissues were the little blue dots on each tissue.

The blue dot layer contains the anti-viral formula that's supposed to kill the germs in the tissue.

These tissues were also thick and strong, like the Kleenex with Lotion tissues.  I actually didn't really notice any difference in softness between the two kinds of tissues.  Not to say that either was rough. They were both soft enough.

Would you recommend it?  Yes!  Kleenex brand tissues are soft, but strong.  They're gentle on your nose and strong enough to be used for more than just blowing your nose.  The Kleenex with Lotion is soft and soothing.  And it's great to know that the Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues can help reduce the spread of cold germs.

How much does it cost?  An upright box of Kleenex tissues retails for about $3.

Where can I buy it?  You can find it at all major drug stores, mass merchandisers, grocery stores and online retailers.
