Revlon ColorStay Eye Makeup Review

DISCLOSURE: I received free samples from Crowdtap to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

My eye makeup routine is pretty simple. I put concealer under my eyes. I put some eye shadow on. I tightline my top lid and then put a little mascara on. I never really do anything with my brows, other than brush through them and get them threaded every couple weeks.

Recently, I had the chance to try Revlon ColorStay™ 2-in-1 Angled Kajal Eyeliner, Revlon ColorStay™ Crème Eye Shadow, Revlon ColorStay™ Brow Pencil, and Revlon Super Length Mascara. Since I've never really done anything to my brows before, I was excited to give it a go.

Revlon ColorStay Crème Eye Shadow

I was sent shade 720 Chocolate to try. It was a nice medium brown shade. The eye shadow included a small brush. But, I ended up just using my finger to apply the eye shadow to my lids. It wasn't as pigmented as I thought it would be, but it was easy to apply and it blended well. I put it on this morning for work and it lasted all day.

I can definitely see myself using this eye shadow a lot. I may have to go and pick up more shades.

Revlon ColorStay Brow Pencil

This was my first time using a brow pencil, so it was somewhat intimidating. I didn't want to look like I had big angry eyebrows! I liked that the brow pencil included a spoolie brush. It was actually pretty easy to use. It went on smoothly and blended well.

Revlon ColorStay Brow Crayon

This brow crayon is supposed to give you fuller, softly defined brows. It features a conditioning pomade that tints, tames and defines. But, honestly, I was too scared to use this. It's so fat. And my brows are so thin. I just didn't think it would work well for me.

Revlon ColorStay 2-In-1 Angled Kajal Eyeliner

I'm not very good at putting eyeliner on. I usually just tightline my top lid. If I do any more, then it starts looking stupid. Don't even ask me to try and wing my liner.

So, when I got this eyeliner, I was hoping that maybe this would help me finally learn how to use eyeliner properly. I thought wrong. I'm not even going to post the pictures of me trying this out.

If I try to use this eyeliner for a smokey eye look, I'll update this post and add those pictures. The included smudge brush is supposed to help achieve that look.

Revlon Super Length Mascara

In addition to the four ColorStay products, I was sent Super Length Mascara to try. I have short, sparse brows that just point down. So, when I wear mascara, I look for one that adds length and volume, as well as one that helps to curl my lashes.

I found this mascara did add some length to my lashes, but it really didn't do anything to add volume.

I think out of all the products I tried, the eye shadow and the mascara are the ones that I'll most likely continue using.
