3DLightFX Deco Light - Kevin - Minions - REVIEW

DISCLOSURE:  This is a sponsored post in conjunction with USFamilyGuide.com.  I received a free 3D Deco Light in exchange for a review.  All opinions are my own.

My younger kids can't sleep without a nightlight. They get scared when the room is too dark. So, we use this really old nightlight that my older kids used to use. It used to have a decorative part that matched my oldest daughter's nursery decor, but that broke off years ago. So it's just a naked nightlight bulb. My husband thinks it's too bright, but my son likes it.

This past weekend, I was excited to receive a 3DLightFX Deco Light. It's a nightlight that you hang on the wall. It comes with a crack sticker, so that the nightlight appears like it's crashed through your wall. It's available in all sorts of varieties -- from Disney and comic book characters to sports and other designs. I chose one in the shape of my son's favorite Minions character, Kevin.

I waited a few days before installing it because I knew I would need my husband's help hanging it on the wall.

Inside the box, you'll find the crack vinyl sticker, the 3D deco light, screws and wall anchors and the instructions. The instructions were kind of difficult for me to follow. I looked at it a few times and then had my husband look at it to see if he could figure it out.

While he tried to figure out where we were going to hang the nightlight, I put the batteries in. They're not included, but the deco light needs 3 AA batteries. It's nice that it's cordless and I'm hoping we won't have to replace the batteries too often. The deco light has an Off/On/Timer switch. When it's on the Timer mode, it stays lit for 30 minutes and then automatically turns off.

We decided to put the nightlight above my kids' dressers. That wall faces their bunk bed and had the most space. The crack sticker was kind of difficult to put on the wall. It didn't help that it comes folded in the box. As my husband tried to peel the backing off, there were some parts of the sticker that just did not want to stick to the wall. He had to manually peel it off the backing and carefully, stick it to the wall.

It was hard to get air bubbles out, but for the most part, we got it on the wall and it didn't hinder the functionality or look of the nightlight on the wall. It looks really cool on the wall and my kids were super excited!

The nightlight provides just the right amount of light and it's great that it automatically turns off. My 6-year-old wants to get the other Minions nightlights (Stuart and Bob). We'll see... they retail between $29.99 - $39.99, depending on the character and are available at Target and Target.com.
