DISCLOSURE: As a member of the Chick-Fil-A Moms Panel, I was provided coupons for free soup to facilitate this post.
My family loves Chick-Fil-A. We eat it at least once a week. Last night, we had the chance to try the Chicken Tortilla Soup from Chick-Fil-A. I normally don't get the soup, but as a member of the Chick-Fil-A Moms, I was given a coupon to try it for free.
The soup was pretty good. It was a little thicker than what I was expecting, but still tasty.
Rather than throwing away the empty soup container, we upcycled it instead. The container is pretty small and so it was hard to come up with a good idea. At first, I was going to turn it into a sewing kit. Right now, I'm using an old shoebox to hold my needles and thread and other things. But, the soup container was too small for what I needed. Then, my husband and I thought we could turn it into a piggy bank, but I wasn't sure where to find a little stopper to put on the bottom of it. So, instead, I went and simple and made little musical shakers for the kids to play with.
DIY Musical Shakers
Supplies:
- Empty and washed Chick-Fil-A Soup containers
- Pasta, rice, beans, lentils
- Glue gun, Glue Dots
- Stickers, paint, etc
1. Fill empty soup containers with rice or pasta. Leave room for them to move when the shakers are shook.
2. Using a glue gun or Glue Dots, apply glue around the rim of the soup container. Then, place lid on soup container.
3. Decorate as you wish. We just covered ours with stickers, though you could paint them or maybe cover with Washi tape.
