DISCLOSURE: I received free products from Influenster to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
I recently received a box of goodies from Influenster. It's been about a year since I was sent a VoxBox, so I was pretty excited to see what I got!
I've received some VoxBoxes in the past that contained a few things that I liked and could use, but there was always one or two items in the box that I just really had no use for. The Rosy VoxBox was different. I could actually use EVERY item that came in the box!
Fancy Feet Ball of Foot Cusions
I don't really own comfy shoes. I have one pair -- my Skechers GoWalks -- that I use when we visit Disney World. But, that's about it. Everything else I wear are sandals, heels, boots, flats and flip flops. All of that leads to callouses, blisters and foot pain. My worst callouses are at the balls of my feet. So, when I saw these foot cushions were in the Rosy VoxBox, I was excited to see if they would help.
The foot cushions are supposed to add stability and shock absorption, while keeping feet from sliding forward with each step. They were easy to apply. You peel off the backing and place at the top of the insole.
They feel squishy and while not totally unnoticeable to me, anyone else wouldn't be able to tell you're wearing them. They definitely cushioned each step, making it possible to walk longer in my shoes.
These foot cushions retail for $5.49, but they also have a wide variety of different products to suit your needs. They can be purchased online at www.footpetals.com or at authorized retailers.
Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant
For some odd reason, I usually can't stick to just one deodorant. I'll use one kind and it will work fine for a few weeks and then all of a sudden, it will stop working. I'll start getting wetness and odor again and have to switch brands. I usually have to switch between brands before I finish using up the deodorant.
One brand, though, that I haven't noticed as many issues is Secret Clinical Strength. I've received small samples of this in the past and have always done fine with it, but have never really purchased the full size product. So, it was nice to see it was included in the Rosy VoxBox.
Secret Clinical Strength offers twice the sweat protection compared to regular antiperspirants. The Invisible Solid goes on dry and stays dry. Secret Clinical Strength is best when applied at night, but I usually put it on after my shower in the morning. So far, I haven't noticed any wetness or odor. The Completely Clean scent keeps me smelling fresh.
Secret Clinical Strength retails for $7.99 and is available most anywhere deodorants and antiperspirants are sold.
Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Soft Waves Sea Salt Spray
I was introduced to the Not Your Mother's brand of haircare a few years ago, through Influenster. I had received a bottle of their Clean Freak Dry Shampoo. It immediately became my favorite dry shampoo and I started trying out some of their other products.
Another one of their products that I use is the Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. I have natural wavy hair that I normally blow dry and flat iron straight. But, on the days that I'm short on time or feeling lazy, I'll use the Beach Babe to help enhance my natural waves.
The Beach Babe Soft Waves Sea Salt Spray is infused with sea salt and sea kelp to give hair texture and separation and the aloe helps soften hair. While the Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray has a beachy, kind of coconut scent to it, the Beach Babe Soft Waves Sea Salt Spray has a more sweet smell.
I liked the results of the Beach Babe Soft Waves Sea Salt Spray. After washing my hair, I put some Ouidad Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel to control frizz and then I sprayed the Beach Babe spray in. I scrunched my hair to help encourage the waves and I thought it came out cute. My waves felt less dry than they normally do when I use the Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. If the Soft Waves Sea Salt Spray smelled a little less sweet, I might buy it more.
A full bottle retails for $7 and a travel size spray retails for $3. They can be purchased online as well as in retail stores and salons.
PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer Naturals
I have four kids, who are all in school. They bring home germs all the time. It seems like there's always someone in the house who's sick, especially in the colder months when everyone is inside more. In addition to frequent hand washing, I usually have a bottle of hand sanitizer with me wherever we go. I keep some in the car and in my purse, as well as in the house. They work great at killing germs, but they don't always smell nice. They often have an alcohol smell.
Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizer Naturals is made with 93% naturally derived ingredients and is scented using essential oils. It smells really nice. Plus, the scent isn't super strong, like some of the sanitizers I've bought at places like Bath and Body Works. I'm definitely planning to buy more once this bottle runs out.
It retails between $1.59 - $1.79 and can be purchased both online and in stores.
Vera Wang Embrace Fragrance
This was my first time trying any Vera Wang fragrances. I received samples of two of the Vera Wang Embrace fragrances. There are four different scents in total:
- Marigold and Gardenia
- Rose Buds and Vanilla
- Green Tea and Pear Blossom
- Periwinkle and Iris
When I first sprayed the Rose Buds and Vanilla on my skin, I picked up the rose scents and that transitioned to the vanilla scent. I find the vanilla to be a little strong for me. I actually would have preferred just the rose and floral scent. Overall, the fragrance wasn't too overpowering. I had to actually smell my wrists to smell the fragrance.
The Marigold and Gardenia was a sweeter scent. I initially pick up the melon scent and then the floral scent from the marigold and gardenia. It also has somewhat of a musky scent. This was a scent that I liked and often found myself sniffing my wrists to smell it more. I would definitely consider buying more of this one.
Both scents last pretty long on my skin. I like that they aren't as expensive as other fragrances with a retail price of $29.99 and that I can purchase it at places like Target and Kohl's.
So, overall, I loved all the products that came in the Rosy VoxBox! Did you receive it, too? What was your favorite?
