Hourglass Vanish Foundation Review #VanishFoundation

DISCLOSURE: I received a free sample from Influenster for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

I usually have bad luck with foundation. I can never get the right color and have never been able to get a flawless finish. It's probably due to technique, but I also think it's because I haven't yet come across the right foundation. Until now!

Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick is one of the newest products from Hourglass Cosmetics. It provides the coverage of a concealer, the fluidity of a liquid and the weightlessness of a powder for undetectable full coverage. It contains double the amount of pigment vs. traditional foundations for instant full coverage. The formula adjusts to body temperature to blend into the skin for the smoothest, most seamless finish.

Hourglass Vanish Foundation has a 12-hour long lasting, waterproof formula. The stick is in a triangular case for precise application along the contours of the face and can be used to contour and highlight. It's available in 26 shades.

The Hourglass Vanish Foundation Brush is designed specifically to work with the Vanish Foundation Stick. The brush brush has vegan, high-grade, ultra-soft taklon bristles. The shape is designed to fit into all the contours of the face.

REVIEW:
This was my first time trying a foundation stick. It was easy to use. After applying primer to my face, I applied the foundation. The stick glided well on my skin and the foundation went on evenly and smoothly. The Nude color (light medium, neutral undertone) was a pretty good match.

I thought the brush was really soft and did a pretty good job at blending the foundation. But, often, the bristles would come out of the brush. I'd find random bristles on my face after blending the foundation. It wasn't bad, just kind of a nuisance.

The coverage was more of a medium coverage for me. But, it wasn't bad. I really liked this foundation. Sadly, I haven't gotten the chance to use it that much since I've gotten more tan. The Nude shade is too light for me right now to use. I'm hoping to start using it again once my tan fades.

Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick can be purchased at Sephora.com and the Hourglass website. The Foundation Stick and the Foundation Brush each retail for $46.
