Glad OdorShield with Gain Kitchen Trash Bags Review

DISCLOSURE: I received free products from BzzAgent to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

I have a family of six. Two adults + four kids = a lot of trash. We probably take the trash out at least five times a week. We go through a lot of trash bags. We've tried numerous brands, but often stick with store brands because they're less expensive and work just as well.

I recently had the opportunity to try Glad OdorShield with Gain.  I've used regular Glad OdorShield with Febreze and haven't had any issues with them before, so I assumed the OdorShield with Gain would work just as well and probably even smelled better!

Glad OdorShield with Gain provides continuous odor neutralization and leaves behind the fresh scent of Gain. It features reinforcing bands to help add strength while saving plastic. The trash bags have a strong drawstring to make closing and carrying easy.

As soon as the trash bags came, my husband started using them right away. Hence, the open box in my picture above! The bags smell nice. The scent isn't too strong, though I was actually expecting them to have a stronger scent. I've used Gain laundry detergent in the past and have found they always left a strong scent on my clothes. I was assuming the trash bags would also have a stronger scent.

The Gain and Febreze freshness did aid in masking kitchen odors. I can't say it completely eliminated them, but they definitely weren't as noticeable.

I did find that the bags weren't as strong as I would have liked.  I had several bags tear -- sometimes, when I felt they shouldn't have torn. I ended up having to sometimes double bag my trash.

Overall, the bags were fine. I'm not sure I would spend extra for these, since they did end up tearing more than I would have liked. I liked the scent, but again, not so much that I would pay extra for it.
