Secret Outlast Completely Clean Clear Gel Deodorant Review

DISCLOSURE:  I received a free product from BzzAgent to try and review.  All opinions are my own.

I actually reviewed Secret Outlast Clear Gel Deodorant about a year and a half ago.  I had no problems with it and gave it a positive review.  But, once my sample ran out, I never bought it again.  I had other samples of different brands to use and hadn't needed to buy any until recently.  So, I was pretty happy to get the chance to try Secret Outlast Clear Gel Deodorant again.  Especially, since I was down to my last thing of  deodorant.

I'm usually not very brand loyal when it comes to deodorant.    Often, I'll use one brand of deodorant and it would fine for a few weeks.  But, then all of a sudden, it would just stop working.  I'd start getting odor again, even though I wasn't changing anything about how I was using it.  So, I'd have to switch to a different brand.  That would work for a little while and then again I'd have to switch.

When I buy deodorant, I normally choose an invisible solid.  I like that they go on smoothly and don't usually leave any white marks on my clothes.  In the past, I've usually steered away from gel deodorants.  They usually don't go on very evenly and the majority of the ones I had tried in the past didn't go on clear.  They would dry clear, but you'd have to wait for it to dry.  Plus, it took a little while for the deodorant to dry.  So, I'd have to wait to get dressed while it dried.

Secret Outlast Clear Gel is designed with fast-drying ingredients so that it evaporates in seconds.  It has rub-off resistant coverage that won't leave a trail.  It goes on clear and stays clear.  It minimizes odor-causing bacteria for longer-lasting, 48-hour odor protection.

The Secret Outlast Clear Gel deodorant comes in four scents: Completely Clean, Sport Fresh, Protecting Powder and Unscented.  Secret Outlast is also available as an invisible solid and a smooth solid.  I was sent the Secret Outlast Clear Gel in the Completely Clean scent.  While it isn't my favorite -- I usually get something with a sweeter scent -- it wasn't offensive in any way.

I found the gel deodorant dispensed pretty well.  There are a bunch of holes at the top of the deodorant, so you get more even coverage.  Though, an equal amount wasn't always dispensed from each hole. I did find that it didn't take many clicks to get enough deodorant out.

Secret Outlast Clear Gel did a good job at keeping me dry.  I did find my underarms felt more wet after application than they would have with an invisible solid.  But, the wetness didn't last very long.  I liked that it went on clear and dried clear.

Would you recommend it? Yes.  The deodorant works well at providing odor and wetness protection, though maybe not for the 48 hours it advertises.  It comes in four scents, so there should be something that suits everyone's preference.

How much does it cost?  Secret Outlast Clear Gel is available in a 1.7-oz and 2.7-oz size. It costs about $4-$6, depending on the size.

Where can I buy it?  You can find it at all major drug stores, mass merchandisers, grocery stores and online retailers.
