I have to admit, I'm terrible at cleaning. I am far from a domestic goddess. My husband is actually the one who takes care of the majority of the house cleaning (as well as other household duties). So, when it comes to household cleaning products, I'm pretty clueless. I know the big name brands and what they're used for, but I couldn't tell you which products work best for certain cleaning tasks.
Recently, I had the opportunity to try two cleaning products from Zep. I hadn't really heard of the brand before, other than with a sample of a floor cleaner that I received through a different site. I ended up not even trying it and giving it away to my Mom since she has hardwood floors and we have carpet.
I was sent three samples of Zep All-Around Oxy Cleaner and Degreaser and two samples of Zep Quick Clean Disinfectant. I hadn't seen any of these products before and most people that I talked to had never heard of Zep either. I kept one of each sample and gave the others away. I gave a set to my parents. My Dad recently had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. So, I thought the Zep cleaners could be good to help keep their home germ-free while he recovered.

We've been on vacation at Disney World this week. So, I thought it would be good to bring along the Quick Clean Disinfectant with us. No matter how clean a hotel may look, I thought it would be good to give things a quick wipe down with the Zep before using it. With all the germs we could encounter at the parks, it would be terrible to get sick and not enjoy our time at Disney World.
I loved how easy it was to use the Quick Clean Disinfectant. No need to wait around for the disinfectant to work. Plus, it's great that it doesn't have a strong chemical smell.
Zep All-Around Oxy Cleaner & Degreaser is a versatile multipurpose cleaner. It has Oxy action to tackle tough stains and Degreasing action to break up grime. It works great for daily cleaning around the home and is gentle enough to use on delicate surfaces, such as upholstery and granite.
We tried the Zep All-Around Oxy Cleaner & Degreaser around the kitchen. Since we have been on vacation all week, I didn't really get a chance to really try it as much as I wanted. We sprayed a little on one of our gas stove burner caps. It had some burned on grease stains and thought it would be a prefect test for the Zep.
As you can see in the picture above, the Zep made the burner cap somewhat cleaner and brighter. But, several stains remained. I'm not sure if we just didn't leave the cleaner on long enough or didn't scrub it hard enough. We just used a paper towel. When we get back from vacation next week, I'll be sure to try again and post an update to this review.
It was great, though, that the cleaner didn't have a strong chemical smell. I find some cleaners are so bad that I get dizzy. Not the case with Zep.
