DISCLOSURE: I received free products from Crowdtap in order to throw a #SkintimateHappyLegs party.  All opinions are my own.

I've been shaving my legs for a long time.  Yikes, now that I think about it, it's been probably about 20 years!  (Ugh, I'm getting old!)  For as long as I can remember, I've almost always used Skintimate Shave Gel when I shaved. Yes, I might have purchased some other brands from time to time, but I've always gone back to Skintimate.

Recently, I had to opportunity to share my love of Skintimate and host a #SkintimateHappyLegs Party.  I was sent a pretty nice kit that included:
  • 10 trial size bottles of Skintimate Shave Gel in Raspberry Rain
  • 10 Schick Quattro for Women Razors
  • 1 Sea Salt Scrub
  • 1 Hand and Body Lotion
  • 1 Sinful Colors Nail Polish
  • 10 Toe Separators
I was really looking forward to hosting a spa party with my friends!

If you're a regular reader of my blog, then you know that I pretty much work every weekend, Friday through Saturday. It's nice to have the week off since it's easier to schedule appointments and stores tend to be less crowded.  But, it's terrible when trying to schedule things with friends and family.  Everyone else is free on the weekend and I'm not.  So, I ended up hosting my party on a Saturday night, after I got off work.

I held it at my parents' house.  My sister and her family were going to be attending a birthday party nearby in the afternoon and then were going to stop by my parents' house for dinner.  I begged her not to leave early and to wait until I got off work (she lives an hour and a half away).  Thankfully, she agreed.

My husband and the kids picked me up from work and we set off for my parents' house. Once we arrived, my Mom, sister and I went upstairs to shave, while everyone else ate dinner.  My Mom had picked up some Papa John's pizza, some macaroni and cheese and Chinese food for us to eat.

I had wanted us to set up in my Mom's master bathroom, since she has a nice Jacuzzi tub that I thought would be nice for us to sit around and shave.  But, ha, my Mom uses it to store things! So, it wasn't in any state to be used. So, we settled for the sinks in the hall bathroom.  We started out using the Sea Salt Scrub that was included in the kit to exfoliate our skin.

Exfoliating with Sea Salt Scrub
It smelled really good and did a nice job at exfoliating.  Though, my sister had a reaction to it.  Her one leg got all bumpy after using it, so she decided not to use it on her other leg.  My Mom and I had no issues with it.

Next, it was time to use the Skintimate!  My sister loved how it smelled.  I've been using the Skintimate Shave Gel in Raspberry Rain for years. I even have a full sized bottle in my shower right now.  I love how well it lathers and really provides good protection against nicks and cuts.  Here I am getting ready to shave:

After we shaved, we used the included Body Lotion to moisturize our legs.  We were hoping it would smell nice, too, but sadly, it was unscented.  But, it did leave my skin feeling nice and soft.

Now, it was time to paint our toenails!  My Mom, though, didn't want to.  She had just gotten a pedicure done recently and really liked the color she had.  So, my sister and I painted our nails.  My sister liked the pink nail polish that came in the kit.  I brought along another bottle of nail polish that I won through an Instagram competition.  It was a nice orange -- great for Halloween!

Pretty toes
We had a fun time getting our legs nice and smooth and our toes pretty!  Thanks Crowdtap and Skintimate!
